Posted on 4th of Sep 2026 by UL AdministratorInternational learning continues to broaden the professional training of University of Luzon students through opportunities that connect classroom knowledge with global healthcare practice. Ms. Ralph Zen F. Francisco, a third-year Nursing student from the College of Nursing and Midwifery and the University’s first Erasmus+ scholarship beneficiary, was featured in a Polish media report on June 9, 2026, highlighting international students participating in medical internships in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, Poland.
Through the Erasmus+ Student Mobility Program, Ms. Francisco is gaining practical experience in healthcare settings while further developing her professional competence. Her training includes simulation-based learning at Józef Gołuchowski University of Applied Sciences (ANSG) and exposure to healthcare practices at partner institutions such as Wielospecjalistyczny Szpital w Ostrowcu Świętokrzyskim.
The experience provides opportunities to apply nursing knowledge in a different learning environment while strengthening clinical skills and broadening her understanding of healthcare practice. It also supports the University of Luzon’s efforts to provide students with meaningful learning experiences that contribute to their career development and prepare them for professional practice.
Her participation further reflects the University of Luzon’s continuing internationalization efforts. Through Erasmus+ and other international academic partnerships, UL provides students with opportunities for international learning, professional training, cultural exchange, and engagement with partner institutions abroad. These initiatives help expand the University’s learning environment while preparing students to work and collaborate in diverse professional settings.
The international learning opportunities provided by the University of Luzon contribute to broader efforts in education, healthcare training, and academic collaboration. SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being is advanced by developing the clinical skills and healthcare knowledge of future nursing professionals through practical training.
