University of Luzon’s Distinguished Academic Leader Receives National Recognition from PAFTE

Cuartel, Dean of the University of Luzon College of Education, received a Plaque of Appreciation from the Philippine Association for Teachers & Educators (PAFTE), Inc. in recognition of her exemplary leadership, integrity, and dedicated service as the Association’s National Treasurer for two consecutive terms from June 1, 2022, to May 31, 2026.
The recognition was conferred during the 16th PAFTE Midyear Convention, which carried the theme, “SDG 2030: Reforms in Basic, Technical and Teacher Education Curricula.” The event highlighted current priorities in education reform while providing a venue for educators and academic leaders to exchange insights on strengthening professional education.
Held on May 21–22, 2026, the convention took place at the Manila Prince Hotel along UN Avenue, Manila. Educators, academic leaders, and professionals from various institutions gathered to discuss collaborative initiatives and educational strategies that respond to the evolving needs of the education sector.
Dr. Cuartel’s recognition reflects her valuable contributions to PAFTE and the teaching profession through years of dedicated service and responsible leadership.
