University of Luzon Nursing Student Meets with Polish Government Officials Through Erasmus+ Mobility Program
Posted on 7th of Aug 2026 by UL AdministratorInternational engagement continues to create meaningful opportunities for University of Luzon students as Ms. Ralph Zen Francisco, a third-year Nursing student, participated in a courtesy meeting with Mayor Artur Łakomiec and County Governor Agnieszka Rogalińska of Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, Poland, on May 26, 2026.
Joining Ms. Francisco were program proponents Dr. Paweł Gotowiecki, Dr. Monika Borek, and Ms. Kinga Makowska, together with fellow Erasmus+ participants from Albania, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, and Ukraine. The courtesy meeting provided an opportunity to strengthen ties between local government of Poland and the international students, recognizing the value of global educational collaboration.
As the first beneficiary of the Józef Gołuchowski University of Applied Sciences Erasmus+ Student Mobility Program from the University of Luzon, Ms. Francisco continues to participate in academic exchange, cultural immersion, and healthcare learning experiences alongside medical students from different countries. The program broadens professional education, enhances practical learning, and develops the global perspective needed to respond to the evolving needs of healthcare and nursing practice.
International academic engagement creates opportunities for learning that extend beyond the classroom and strengthen collaboration across borders. Through this initiative, the University advances the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by supporting SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being through international healthcare learning experiences that help prepare globally competent future healthcare professionals, promoting SDG 4: Quality Education by expanding professional education through meaningful academic exchange and global learning opportunities, while reinforcing SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through sustained collaboration among universities, communities, and healthcare institutions that advance knowledge sharing and international cooperation.
