Posted on 15th of Oct 2026 by UL AdministratorThe University of Luzon marked an important part of its students’ academic journey through the 13th White Coat and Lab Coat Donning Ceremony of the College of Medical Laboratory Science, Pharmacy, and Biology. The ceremony honored the students’ progress toward their future roles in healthcare and the responsibilities that come with their chosen professions.
Held on September 26, 2026, at The Monarch Hotel in Calasiao, Pangasinan. The occasion began with a Holy Mass at 1:00 PM, followed by the donning ceremony at 2:00 PM.
With the theme, “Beyond the White Coat: Integrity, Excellence and Care,” the ceremony highlighted the values that students are encouraged to uphold throughout their academic and professional journeys. The white coat represents more than a professional identity; it also serves as a reminder of the responsibility to provide care with integrity, competence, and respect for human health.
The program featured University of Luzon alumni Mark Evenezer V. Calaguio, RMT, MBA, as Guest of Honor and Speaker, and Camille De Guzman Fabia, RPh, as Keynote Speaker. Their participation added an alumni perspective to the occasion, connecting the students’ current learning experiences with the responsibilities they will carry into their future careers.
The ceremony reflects the University’s role in providing education that prepares students for professional practice and service to others. These efforts support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being is supported by igniting future healthcare professionals’ passion to contribute to human health and patient care, while SDG 4: Quality Education is advanced through learning experiences that strengthen students’ knowledge, practical skills, and encourages professional responsibility.
