University of Luzon Extensionistas Extend Community Service to Schools Through Brigada Eskwela 2026

Preparations for School Year 2026–2027 brought University of Luzon Extensionistas together for Brigada Eskwela 2026, held from June 1–5, extending the University’s support to various schools through volunteer work, donated supplies, and school clean-up activities.

At Caranglaan Elementary School, the College of Accountancy worked alongside the College of Engineering and Architecture. They donated cleaning materials and joined classroom clean-up activities to help create a safer and more conducive school environment for learners.

At General Gregorio del Pilar Elementary School in Bonuan Gueset, Dagupan City, the College of Computer Studies, College of Liberal Arts and College of Nursing and Midwifery participated through faculty members and student volunteers. The group carried out school clean-up and maintenance activities and turned over donated supplies to support the school’s preparations for the new academic year.

Meanwhile, the Center for Integrated Extension Services, the College of Criminology, College of Business Administration, College of Hospitality and Tourism Management, and College of Medical Laboratory Science, Pharmacy and Biology joined the activities at Tebeng Elementary School. Their participation included school clean-up efforts and the provision of donated supplies to help address the school’s needs.

The College of Education, CICES, and National Service Training Program (NSTP) also extended their Brigada Eskwela efforts to Judge Jose De Venecia Sr. Technical-Vocational Secondary School, East Central Integrated School, and Bonuan Buquig National High School, further expanding the University’s support for schools in the community.

These efforts contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. By helping provide safe and conducive learning spaces, the initiative advances SDG 4: Quality Education by supporting conditions that enhance learning. Collaboration between University of Luzon and local schools also advances SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by encouraging shared responsibility and cooperation within the community.

University of Luzon recognizes the valuable efforts of its Extensionistas, faculty members, student volunteers, and participating colleges for bringing the spirit of volunteerism beyond the campus.
