University of Luzon Explores Technology and Digital Security Through Educational Tour
Posted on 15th of Oct 2026 by UL AdministratorStudents of the University of Luzon explored real-world applications of technology, innovation, and digital security through the College of Computer Studies Educational Tour 2026.
Held from October 1–3, 2026, the tour brought learning beyond the classroom through visits and activities that introduced students to different professional fields.
The educational journey began in Subic with visits to the SBMA Telecommunications Department and Subic Law Enforcement. These visits helped students understand how information and communication technologies support telecommunications, public safety, and law enforcement.
The tour continued at Hytec Power Inc. and Dr. Yanga’s Colleges Robotics, where students explored engineering, automation, robotics, and emerging technologies. These experiences allowed them to connect their academic knowledge with industry practices and possible career paths.
The final leg featured TechTalks on mobile security and digital forensics. Prof. Rina V. Cabansag discussed ways to protect mobile devices and digital information, while Prof. Andrew C. Caronongan introduced methods for examining digital evidence. The students also joined a historical rolling tour of Intramuros, connecting their technical learning with Philippine history and culture.
Through these activities, the University of Luzon provided opportunities for practical learning, industry exposure, and career development, helping students better understand the skills needed in the technology sector.
The tour also supports sustainable development through education, career preparation, and exposure to new technologies. These efforts contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. SDG 4: Quality Education is advanced through technical learning and skills development, while SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth is supported by preparing students for future employment and professional opportunities. SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure is promoted through exposure to telecommunications, automation, robotics, mobile security, and digital forensics.
