Amid the challenging results of the February 2026 Nurse Licensure Examination (NLE), where the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) recorded a national passing rate of only 44.24%, with 3,611 out of 8,162 examinees successfully passing, the University of Luzon proudly celebrates the achievement of its 30 successful board passers. Despite the sharp decline in the national passing rate, which reflected a return to pre-pandemic performance levels, the University of Luzon graduates attained an impressive 87.88% passing rate for first-time test takers.

This accomplishment highlights the perseverance, resilience, and determination of the newly registered nurses who devoted countless hours to studying, training, and preparing for one of the most challenging milestones of their academic journey. Their success reflects not only their intellectual capability, but also their sacrifices, discipline, and unwavering commitment to achieving their dreams despite the pressures and demands of the Nursing Licensure Examination. Guided by the knowledge and training they acquired from the University of Luzon, these board passers demonstrated excellence, compassion, and professionalism worthy of the nursing profession. Their achievement stands as an inspiration to future healthcare professionals and a testament to the hard work, dedication, and passion they carried throughout their journey toward becoming Registered Nurses.

Behind the success of these newly registered nurses are the tireless efforts of the University administrators, the Dean of the College of Nursing and Midwifery, Dr. Jordan H. Llego, dedicated faculty members, clinical instructors, review coordinators, and support personnel who continuously guided and mentored the students throughout their academic journey. Through their expertise, encouragement, and commitment to academic excellence, they ensured that the graduates were equipped not only with knowledge and clinical competence, but also with the compassion, discipline, and professionalism essential in the nursing profession. Their collective dedication reflects the University of Luzon’s mission-objectives of dedicated to shaping students into highly skilled and principled professionals, fostering a learning environment that promotes critical thinking, personal development, and social responsibility.

Passing the Nursing Licensure Examination is not only a remarkable achievement but also the beginning of a greater journey toward service, leadership, and lifelong learning in the healthcare profession. As newly registered nurses step into the next chapter of their lives, they carry with them the knowledge, values, and experiences they have gained through years of hard work and dedication—reflecting the importance of quality education and continuous learning embodied in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) by becoming instruments of compassionate healthcare and advocates of wellness who will help improve the quality of life in the communities they serve, Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by valuing quality education in empowering individuals with the knowledge, competence, and ethical foundation needed to succeed in nursing profession, and Sustainable Development Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by opening opportunities for decent work, professional growth, and meaningful contributions to the healthcare workforce as they begin their careers.
