The University of Luzon celebrated its annual University Day on December 11, 2023. The day was marked by the usual vibrant activities and performances, but this year, we were honored to host esteemed guests from New York and Indonesia.

Performances and Activities

The day kicked off with lively performances by the UL Drum and Bugle Corps and the UL Theatre and Dance Company (ULTDC). These performances, a staple of our University Day celebrations, showcased the talent and spirit of our students.

In the afternoon, our students participated in a contest of singing and dancing, demonstrating their artistic abilities and competitive spirit.

International Guests and Collaboration

We were privileged to welcome Dr. Hari Ginardi, head of Information Technology from ITS Surabaya, Bradley Fuster, VP for Academic Affairs of Keuka College New York, and Gary Giss, Dean of the International Programs in Southeast Asia. Their presence added a global perspective to our local celebration.

A significant highlight of the day was the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between our guests and the University of Luzon. This MOA signifies a commitment to academic collaboration and exchange, further enhancing the global reach of our institution.

Meeting with the Mayor

Later in the day, our guests had the opportunity to meet with the Mayor of Dagupan, Belen Fernandez. This meeting underscored the strong ties between our university and the local community.

The University of Luzon is proud to have hosted such a successful University Day. We look forward to continuing to celebrate our institution’s achievements and fostering international collaborations in the years to come.
