The University of Luzon College of Computer Studies (ULCCS) and the College of Engineering & Architecture-AIT (ULCOEA-AIT) are embracing global collaboration through the transformative Hybrid Asia Exploration (HAx) COIL program. ULCCS and ULCOEA-AIT students have started participating in a four-week (June 16 to July 7, 2023) immersive experience, collaborating with students from four Asian countries: Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Japan.

The HAx COIL program provides ULCCS and ULCOEA-AIT students with an invaluable opportunity to work closely with international peers on diverse topics including AI and Robotics, technologies for Point-of-Care test, innovative technologies for sustainability, smart farming, electric power, and application of electronic information systems to social issues. Through virtual classrooms and online collaboration tools, students engage in cross-cultural teamwork, broadening their perspectives and fostering intercultural competence.

Through this program, ULCCS and ULCOEA-AIT students will gain exposure to the current and emerging trends in technologies. This collaborative learning environment will nurture their problem-solving skills and equip them with a more comprehensive skill set to thrive in the dynamic fields of computer studies and engineering.

The HAx Asia COIL program not only enhances technical expertise but also promotes cultural integration. By working alongside students from different Asian countries, ULCCS and ULCOEA-AIT students will develop a deeper understanding of the participating nations’ cultures and traditions on top of their exposure to technological advancements. Thus, this four-week program will prove to be a transformative experience for ULCCS and ULCOEA-AIT students, offering them a unique perspective on global collaboration and intercultural communication.

By participating in the HAx Asia COIL program, ULCCS and ULCOEA-AIT students are well-prepared to navigate the challenges and opportunities of an interconnected world.

The University of Luzon remains committed to providing its ULCCS and ULCOEA-AIT students with innovative educational opportunities that foster global competence and prepare them for success in the ever-evolving fields of Information Technology and Engineering.
