UL CBAHTM Students Participate in “GREEN ECONOMY: From Soil to Market”

Commitment to sustainability and community development took center stage as students from the University of Luzon College of Business Administration, Hospitality & Tourism Management (CBAHTM) actively participated in the flagship program, “GREEN ECONOMY: From Soil to Market,” held on May 11, 2026, at Quinit Farm of Quinit School of Science, Agriculture, Trade, and Arts, Inc. in Buenlag, Calasiao, Pangasinan. The event was organized by JCI Mangaldan Pindang and formed part of the continuing collaboration between the two institutions under their Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).

The initiative provided students with meaningful opportunities for experiential learning, allowing them to explore the connections between agriculture, entrepreneurship, and environmental stewardship. Through discussions and interactive activities, participants gained valuable insights into economic development, responsible resource utilization, and the importance of building a more sustainable future. The program also strengthened leadership, teamwork, and social responsibility, encouraging students to become active contributors to community progress.

The activity reflects the shared commitment of UL CBAHTM and JCI Mangaldan Pindang to developing future professionals equipped with the knowledge, values, and skills needed to address contemporary social, economic, and environmental challenges. By engaging students in real-world experiences, the partnership continues to enrich education beyond the classroom and foster a deeper appreciation for responsible development.

Furthermore, the program contributes to SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production by encouraging sustainability, responsible resource use, and environmental awareness, while strengthening SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through the continued collaboration between UL CBAHTM, JCI Mangaldan Pindang, and Quinit Farm in advancing sustainable development.
