The maintenance of one’s mental health is a privilege that is frequently disregarded as unnecessary. In spite of the fact that it might appear to be a relatively unimportant aspect of one’s overall health, this assertion couldn’t be further from the truth. Studies have shown that a decline in an individual’s mental health is almost always closely followed by a decline in that individual’s overall quality of life, and it can even lead to chronic illnesses. As a consequence of this, it is critical for individuals to have a comprehensive understanding of the numerous methods by which they can protect their mental health and maintain control over their levels of stress.

The University of Luzon held a seminar titled “Holistic Well Being Response to the Challenge in the New Normal” on the 8th of October with the purpose of gaining a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities that exist within the field of mental health. This was done as part of an initiative to improve workplace productivity as well as to increase employee morale and satisfaction. Dr. Cherry May Rotas-Palacio was asked to serve as the seminar’s facilitator because of her wealth of knowledge in the field of the art of positive mental health as well as her profound comprehension of the dynamics of human relationships. Participants were asked to take part in a wide variety of activities and exercises designed to help them improve their mental health and gain a better understanding of the people in their peer group.

An organization is analogous to a well-oiled machine, in which all of the components collaborate in order to successfully accomplish the organization’s overarching goal. When a single worker within an organization is unable to perform at their optimal level, it can have repercussions for the rest of the company. The same can be said for a person’s psychological well-being. When a person’s mental health is not in good shape, it is common for other aspects of their functioning to also suffer as a result. The university takes care of its employees by providing them with the training and resources they need to remain at the top of their game, and the seminar is one example of how the university does this.
