A proud moment for every Luzonian! The University of Luzon has earned Deregulated Status from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for three years, recognizing its capacity to manage academic programs and institutional operations under established higher education policies.
The status was conferred on September 4, 2026, under CHED Memorandum Order No. 23, series of 2026. It will remain in effect until September 3, 2029.
Among the 30 private higher education institutions that applied, the University of Luzon was the only one granted the status. This recognition marks an important development for UL and reflects the collective work of its academic community in meeting the standards for institutional autonomy and responsible management.
The University recognizes the contributions of its administrators, faculty members, staff, students, alumni, and partners in supporting its academic programs and institutional growth. Their shared efforts help UL provide quality education and respond to the changing needs of learners.
The University’s work in higher education also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. By strengthening academic programs and providing relevant learning opportunities, UL advances SDG 4: Quality Education through accessible, quality learning and student development. Its continued institutional development supports SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure by encouraging improvements in educational systems and practices. Through cooperation with academic partners and other institutions, UL contributes to SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by building relationships that support education and shared progress.
Congratulations to us, UL Family! This achievement reflects the collective efforts and shared responsibility of the entire Luzonian community. May it inspire us to continue working together to provide quality education and create more opportunities for future generations.
Padayon, Proud Luzonians!
