On January 28, 2025, a significant milestone was achieved with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the University of Luzon (UL) College of Liberal Arts and World Citi Colleges (WCC) Binalonan College of Nursing. The event took place at the UL President’s Office, marking the start of a collaborative partnership aimed at improving the educational experience for nursing students.

Representing WCC Binalonan during the signing were Dr. Roger Martinez, Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) of WCC ATC, and Dr. Lorna Bulosan, VPAA of WCC Binalonan, who stood in for Professor Jennifer B. Imson, the Dean of the College of Nursing. On the side of the University of Luzon, Dr. Carmelita Quinto, Dean of the College of Liberal Arts, and Dr. Emma Tuvera, Program Head of the College of Liberal Arts, were present to formalize the agreement.

The partnership, witnessed by faculty and staff from both institutions, is designed to foster a more flexible and collaborative learning environment. One of the key objectives is to map out curricula that meet the dynamic needs of WCC Binalonan nursing students, particularly in the area of general education. By aligning and enhancing these subjects, both institutions aim to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical nursing skills.

Under the agreement, the University of Luzon will provide technical assistance to the WCC Binalonan College of Nursing. This will include co-sponsorship of training webinars, seminars, and workshops that cover both general and professional subjects, further supporting the academic growth of WCC nursing students.

Both institutions are committed to maintaining high standards of education, and this partnership reflects their dedication to continuous improvement and collaboration. The MOA is expected to open the door for future joint ventures, creating more opportunities for students and enriching the academic community.
