University of Luzon Shines in Virtual CommTECH Nusantara 2025
Posted on 18th of Jul 2025 by UL AdministratorThe University of Luzon is proud to announce the remarkable achievements of its faculty and student delegates at the Virtual CommTECH Nusantara 2025, an international program organized by Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya. The competition brought together 122 participants from 29 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across 10 countries, including the Philippines, Malaysia, Russia, China, and Singapore. The outstanding performance of the Luzonians and their faculty representative underscored the university’s commitment to academic excellence and global competence.
Among the most significant recognitions was the Best Participant award, which was conferred upon top-performing individuals from the Region 1 HEIs. One of these was University of Luzon’s very own faculty member, Alvin Carillo. As a direct result of his exemplary participation, Carillo has been awarded a full scholarship to the International Staff Mobility (ISM) Program, which is scheduled for September 29 to October 3, 2025. This achievement not only highlights Carillo’s individual prowess but also elevates the university’s standing on the international stage.
In addition to the top awards, a University of Luzon student also received special commendations. Fregine A. Claveria was recognized with the Best Presentation award, a testament to the strong communication and public speaking skills of Luzonians. These recognitions collectively demonstrate the university’s strong presence and competitiveness in a global academic setting.
CommTECH Nusantara is a virtual platform designed for cross-cultural exchange, fostering global awareness, leadership, and an appreciation for Indonesian culture while addressing critical global challenges. The program’s blend of lectures, cultural activities, team projects, and networking opportunities provides a unique and enriching experience for all participants.
