The University of Luzon, represented by the College of Business Administration and Hospitality – Tourism Management (ULCBAHTM), proudly participated in the Virtual CommTECH Exploration 2025. This prestigious international program, now in its 45th edition, was hosted by Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), a leading technological university in Indonesia.

The virtual event, which ran from April 21 to May 2, 2025, brought together 167 participants from 27 local and international universities. Day 1 highlights included a welcoming ceremony from ITS, a virtual campus tour, and an insightful glimpse into ITS’s vibrant community, advanced research initiatives, and student-led innovations.

CommTECH (Community and Technological Camp) is designed to foster innovation, cultural understanding, and international collaboration. This year’s virtual format allowed participants to explore student talents, engage in hands-on learning, and experience global cultures from a digital space.

Representing the University of Luzon were ULCBAHTM faculty members Dr. Sherryl D. Delos Santos, Prof. Racquel M. Mejia, Prof. Marvex P. Cacanandog, and Prof. Alvin O. Carillo. They were joined by outstanding student delegates: Alyzza Mae Manzon (Business Administration), Allysa Angelica C. Jose (Hospitality and Tourism Management), and Loraine Kyla B. Domantay (Hospitality and Tourism Management). Their participation underscores the University of Luzon’s unwavering commitment to global engagement, academic excellence, and cultural immersion.

This participation significantly contributes to several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By engaging in international collaboration and cultural exchange, the University of Luzon supports SDG 4: Quality Education, promoting inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all. The emphasis on advanced research and student-led innovations aligns with SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, fostering resilient infrastructure, promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and fostering innovation. Furthermore, the program’s focus on international collaboration and partnerships directly contributes to SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, strengthening the means of implementation and revitalizing the global partnership for sustainable development.
