The University of Luzon (UL) successfully concluded a week-long ISO in Education training program from June 23 to 27, 2025. The intensive training aimed to further embed principles of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within the university’s operations, reinforcing its commitment to delivering high-quality education.

The program featured Mr. Bobby Jones Domdom as the resource person-facilitator, whose expertise guided participants through the intricacies of ISO standards in an educational context. The training saw enthusiastic participation from university administrators, faculty, and staff, all demonstrating a shared commitment to enhancing UL’s operational frameworks.

As highlighted in the closing remarks, this training was more than a mere compliance exercise; it was a reaffirmation of the University of Luzon’s foundational values. The institution, with its tagline “UL, a TRUSTMARK OF EXCELLENCE!”, emphasizes the importance of consistency, learner-centered approaches, and continuous improvement in all its endeavors. The training encouraged Luzonians to critically examine their processes, striving for daily enhancements in service to their community.

The program underscored that quality is not an event, but a habit – a habit of reviewing, refining, and remembering the core purpose of their educational mission. Participants were encouraged to return to their respective roles with renewed clarity and a stronger sense of purpose, ready to champion systems that support learning and uphold integrity. The ultimate goal is to build a University of Luzon that is not only ISO-certified but also future-ready, globally competitive, and proudly Filipino.

This comprehensive ISO training aligns directly with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Specifically, it significantly contributes to SDG 4: Quality Education, by fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in educational delivery and institutional management. By enhancing internal processes and accountability, the university ensures more inclusive and equitable quality education, promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all Luzonians. Furthermore, the emphasis on organizational efficiency and robust management systems indirectly supports SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, by strengthening the university’s capacity as a transparent and effective public institution.
