Dagupan City recently hosted the 2024 Children’s Summit, a highly anticipated event co-organized by the City Government of Dagupan and DepEd Dagupan, bringing together a remarkable gathering of over 20,000 students from the city’s public and private schools. Held from November 6-8, 2024, at the CSI Stadia, the summit provided an inspiring platform for the city’s youth to celebrate and explore the “ideas and actions” needed to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Global Goals (SDGs), with a focus on creating a safer, more inclusive environment for children.

Under the theme “BREAK THE PREVALENCE, END THE VIOLENCE: SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT—PROTECTING CHILDREN, CREATING A SAFE PHILIPPINES!” students participated in activities, competitions, and discussions designed to promote awareness of the SDGs and how these global objectives can be applied locally to protect and uplift young lives.
