UL Culinary Team Triumphs at Timpuyog 2024

On September 5, 2024, the University of Luzon (UL) Culinary Team, representing the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM), emerged victorious at the ASEAN Culinary Showdown held during the Timpuyog 2024 ASEAN Conference for Region 1 Higher Education Institutions.

The team’s winning dish, the Savory Labong (Bamboo Shoot) Noodle Stir Fry, showcased their culinary prowess and innovative approach to traditional flavors. Inspired by the Singaporean dish Char Kway Teow, the UL team’s creation impressed the judges with its harmonious blend of textures, flavors, and presentation.

The Timpuyog 2024 conference, hosted by Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation, focused on the theme “Enhancing Connectivity and Resilience.” The ASEAN Culinary Showdown was one of the many highlights of the event, providing a platform for culinary students from across the region to showcase their skills and creativity.
