Dean Caronongan Joins Global Research Stage with Two Prestigious International Papers

The University of Luzon proudly recognizes the exceptional accomplishments of Engr. Diosdado Caronongan, Dean of the College of Computer Studies, who has co-authored two groundbreaking research papers that will be presented at international conferences in Indonesia this November.

The first paper, “Change Management Implementation on E-Government System Using PROSCI ADKAR with Control Standard of COBIT2019 and ITIL v4,” will be showcased at the 2024 International Conference on Computer Engineering, Network, and Intelligent Multimedia (CENIM) on November 19-20 in Surabaya, Indonesia. This study introduces an innovative framework to address challenges in e-government implementation, providing a comprehensive roadmap for effective digital governance transformation.

This research represents a collaboration with an international team of experts, including Henning Titi Ciptaningtyas, Raden Venantius Hari Ginardi, and Ariel Daffansyah Aliski from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) in Surabaya, Indonesia; Marlina Santoso from STMIK Kharisma in Makasar, Indonesia; and Engr. Caronongan, representing the University of Luzon.

The second study, “Investigating Cybersecurity Assessment Practices: Enhancing Defenses in the Philippines,” will be presented at the 2024 International Conference on Informatics, Multimedia, Cyber, and Information Systems (ICIMSIS) on November 20-21 in Jakarta, Indonesia. This research explores the state of cybersecurity in the Philippines, identifying vulnerabilities and offering strategies to strengthen defenses against evolving cyber threats.

Engr. Caronongan collaborated with Dr. Semi Yulianto on this paper, addressing a critical national and global issue with wide-reaching implications for cybersecurity.

Both papers have been submitted to IEEE Xplore for potential publication, highlighting their innovation and significance to the global research community. Their selection for these esteemed conferences underscores the collaborative excellence and high-impact contributions of their authors.

Reflecting on his involvement, Engr. Caronongan shared, “It is an honor to collaborate with brilliant minds across borders and contribute to addressing critical challenges in technology and governance. These projects demonstrate the power of teamwork and knowledge-sharing, and I am privileged to represent the University of Luzon on this international stage.”

The University of Luzon extends its heartfelt congratulations to Engr. Caronongan and his esteemed collaborators. These achievements exemplify the institution’s commitment to academic excellence (SDG 4), fostering innovation (SDG 9), advancing effective governance (SDG 16), and strengthening international partnerships (SDG 17). Through these efforts, the university solidifies its presence in the global research community and actively contributes to solving critical challenges.
