Master in Public Administration

The Master in Public Administration (MPA) program offered by the UL Graduate School  is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in public service leadership. This program offers a blend of theoretical foundations and practical applications, preparing graduates to tackle the complexities of governance and public administration at various levels, including local, national, and international.

Students in the MPA program can choose from two specialized majors. (a) The Major in Development Planning and Management focuses on equipping students with the tools to design, implement, and assess development projects aimed at sustainable growth and poverty reduction. Graduates will be prepared for roles in government, international organizations, and NGOs, where they can lead development initiatives.

The (b) Major in Local Government focuses on the unique aspects of governance at the local level. This track covers local governance, fiscal management, and public service delivery, providing students with the skills needed to manage and lead local government units (LGUs). Graduates will be well-prepared to enhance local governance and contribute to community development, playing key roles in improving public administration at the grassroots level.
