This scholarly work was made possible through the collaborative efforts of co-authors Dr. Carmelo John E. Vidal, Dr. Amalia G. Dela Cruz, Dr. Dolores B. Bustillo, and Dr. Jean V. Ramos, whose contributions helped strengthen the study and its impact on the field of business and education research.
The award-winning research underscores the importance of education as a pathway to empowerment and socioeconomic advancement aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4: Quality Education by promoting inclusive and accessible learning opportunities for migrant workers seeking to continue their education despite geographical and professional challenges, and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth by highlighting how educational attainment can enhance employability, career advancement, and sustainable livelihood opportunities for Overseas Filipino Workers. Through research that amplifies the experiences and aspirations of migrant learners, the study contributes to building a more inclusive and equitable society where education serves as a catalyst for personal and economic development.
