Posted on 26th of Jun 2026 by UL Administrator
The University of Luzon proudly marks an important step in the academic journey of its Bachelor of Arts in Psychology students as they begin their On-the-Job Training (OJT) across various partner institutions. Stepping beyond the four corners of the classroom, these future professionals are now gaining valuable hands-on experience in clinical, industrial/human resource, and educational settings.
Guided by the standards set by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) through its policies on experiential learning, the OJT program provides students with meaningful opportunities to apply the theories, concepts, and skills they have acquired throughout their academic journey. Through real-world exposure, students develop professional competencies, strengthen critical thinking skills, and gain a deeper understanding of the psychology profession.
The internship experience allows students to engage with diverse individuals and organizations, helping them build confidence, professionalism, and a strong sense of responsibility. Whether assisting in clinical services, supporting human resource functions, or contributing to educational programs, these aspiring psychology practitioners are given opportunities to make meaningful contributions while learning from experienced practitioners.
Through quality education and real-world learning experiences, the University of Luzon continues to nurture competent, compassionate, and socially responsible future professionals who are ready to create positive change in society. This learning program supports SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being as Psychology students are trained to promote mental health awareness, support individual well-being, and contribute to healthier communities and workplaces. It also contributes to SDG 4: Quality Education by providing students with practical and experiential learning opportunities that enhance their knowledge and prepare them for future careers.
As our BA Psychology interns begin this exciting chapter, the University community wishes them success in their respective placements. Good luck, future mental health professionals! May this journey be a meaningful step toward understanding people, improving systems, and making a difference in the communities they serve.
