UL CONM Faculty Research Accepted for Presentation at International Nursing Convention in USA

The University of Luzon proudly celebrates a significant academic achievement as Dr. Christopher Rufin Bañez, PhD, MSN, RN, Director of Nursing and Associate Professor of the University of Luzon – College of Nursing and Midwifery (UL-CONM), earned the acceptance of his research abstract for poster presentation at the 47th Philippine Nurses Association of America, Inc. (PNAA) National Convention to be held on July 15–19, 2026, at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA.

Dr. Bañez’s accepted abstract, entitled “Association of a Nurse-Led Educational Intervention with Patient Outcomes Related to Falls, Pressure Injuries, Medication Adherence, Timely Reporting, and Referral Among Home Health Patients Residing in Assisted Living Facilities: A Quality Improvement Review,” highlights the critical role of nurse-led educational interventions in enhancing patient outcomes, promoting patient safety, and improving the quality of healthcare services in assisted living and home health settings.

The acceptance of this research at a prestigious international nursing convention underscores Dr. Bañez’s commitment to nursing scholarship, evidence-based practice, and continuous quality improvement. It also reflects the growing contribution of University of Luzon faculty to the advancement of healthcare knowledge and professional practice on both national and international platforms. Through research that addresses real-world healthcare challenges, the University continues to foster academic excellence, innovation, and lifelong learning while creating meaningful impact in the nursing profession and healthcare community.
