Posted on 15th of Sep 2025 by UL AdministratorThe University of Luzon held a successful Mass Induction and Acquaintance Party on September 15, 2025, bringing together student leaders and the university community. The event, held at CSI Stadia, served as a formal induction ceremony for the newly elected officers of the university’s various student councils and recognized organizations. The celebration was a vibrant display of unity and community spirit, highlighting the commitment of Luzonians to leadership and collaboration.
The program was officiated by City Councilor Hon. Christel Hilary Paras, who served as the Guest Speaker and Inducting Officer. As the City Councilor and Chairman of the Committee on Women and Children in Panlungsod, Dagupan City, her presence underscored the university’s dedication to engaging with local government and community leaders. Her keynote address provided valuable guidance to the new officers, emphasizing the importance of their roles in shaping the student body and contributing to the university’s legacy. The induction ceremony saw the formal oath-taking of all council officers from every college and recognized organization within the university. The presentation of the “Salamat Po” award was also a highlight, acknowledging key individuals who have contributed significantly to student life.
The event’s theme of “Vibrant Colors” was evident throughout the festivities, which transitioned into the Acquaintance Party. This portion of the evening provided a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for students to mingle and build camaraderie. The UL Theatre and Dance Company performed a dynamic dance number, setting the stage for the rest of the night. The party also featured the selection of the Acquaintance King and Queen, as well as awards for the Most Stylish Council and the Council Catwalk. These friendly competitions added to the celebratory mood and encouraged lighthearted interaction among the different student groups. The presence of a guest DJ ensured a lively atmosphere, allowing Luzonians to celebrate their new academic year and their new leaders.
This event, which brought together students and community leaders, also reflects the University of Luzon’s alignment with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The focus on empowering student leaders, particularly with a guest speaker who chairs a committee on women and children, directly supports SDG 5: Gender Equality. By fostering a community where student leaders are given a platform and a voice, the university promotes an environment where all individuals, regardless of gender, can thrive and contribute. The overall spirit of collaboration and community-building among diverse student groups, as seen in the Acquaintance Party, further aligns with the spirit of SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, which emphasizes the importance of multi-stakeholder partnerships to achieve sustainable development. Through such events, the University of Luzon demonstrates its commitment to both academic excellence and global citizenship.
