The University of Luzon (UL) recently hosted a transformative Leadership Training for all Council Officers, held last November 16, 2024, at the UL Multi-Purpose Hall. Organized by the Office of Student Affairs and Services, under the guidance of Assistant Director Prof. Nash B. The training, themed “Empowering Student Leaders: Cultivating Integrity, Collaboration, and Innovation for Social Impact,” aimed to equip young leaders with the necessary skills and knowledge to make a meaningful difference. Hosted by the dynamic duo of Arianne Angela Balaoing, Press Relations Officer and President of the College of Liberal Arts, and Erick Nikolai C. Guiang, Business Manager and President of the College of Engineering and Architecture-AIT, the event featured a lineup of inspiring speakers who shared their expertise and insights.

Mr. Jonarch P. Aquino Jr., Secretary to the Sangguniang Kabataan, Federation President Sangguniang Panlungsod of Dagupan, discussed the importance of effective communication in leadership. By honing their public speaking and interpersonal skills, student leaders can better engage with their peers, inspire action, and build strong relationships.

Prof. Glory Ann B. Feliciano, a Registered Guidance Counselor, highlighted the significance of mental health and well-being in leadership. By prioritizing mental health, student leaders can create a supportive environment, foster open dialogue, and reduce the stigma associated with mental health challenges.
