Admission Requirements

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Any high school graduate is eligible for admission to any College of the University, provided he/she satisfies all the requirements for admission in that college, upon acceptance by the College Dean concerned.

Applications should be submitted to the Office of the College Dean where the applicant wants to study.

Individuals are advised to file their applications for admission as early as possible in order to be given priority in the enrollment within the prescribed period.

Eligibility for Admission

The following documents must be submitted to the enrolling
officer.

FRESHMEN:

a. From 138 (High School Report Card)
b. Certificate of Good Moral Character, signed by the Principal or Guidance Counsellor of the last school attended.
c. Birth Certificate

TRANSFEREES:
a. Certificate of Transfer Credential (Honorable Dismissal from the last school attended).
b. Certificate of Academic/Scholastic Records (and R.L.E. for students in the College of Nursing).
c. Certificate of Good Moral Character, signed by the duly authorized representative of the last school attended.

CROSS-ENROLEES:

Students principally enrolled in other institutions of higher learning may be admitted into any of the colleges of the University on a case-to-case basis upon submission of a written request from their respective Deans or Registrars
on the following conditions:

a. The cross-enrolment permit shall state the total number of units for which a student may register;
b. The subject/s he is authorized to take in any of the Colleges of the University.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS:

Foreign students must comply with all regulations of the Bureau of Immigration (BI), the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), and National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA). The following credentials must be submitted by the applicant
to the University Registrar or Assistant Registrar.

a. Proof of adequate financial support to cover expenses for the student’s accommodation and subsistence, as
well as school dues and other incidental expenses.
b. Scholastic records duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post located in the student’s country
of origin or legal residence.
c. Police Clearance Certificate issued by the National Police Authorities in the student’s country of origin or
residence duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post having consular jurisdiction over the place
for students who resided in the Philippines for less than 59 days. However, for students who resided in the
Philippines for more than 59 days, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance is required.
d. Quarantine Medical Examination by the National Quarantine Office.
e. Copy of Student’s Personal History Statement signed by the student with 2 x 2 inch photograph recently taken.

Final interview by the College Dean concerned shall be conducted for all incoming transferees and foreign students before final admission is decided.

Ineligibility for Admission

The University, as a general rule, will not accept students who:

a. can not present transfer credentials or who have been refused admission in other schools for reason of academic deficiencies or discipline;
b. had been previously admitted to the University but expelled or excluded for any reason as specified under the rules of discipline.
c. are transferring from other schools with neither permit nor recognition to operate from the government.
d. are suffering from highly contagious or communicable diseases as well as mental disorders.
