University of Luzon Students to Represent the University in Hybrid Asia Exploration 2024

The University of Luzon (UL) is thrilled to announce that four exceptional students from the College of Computer Studies have been selected to participate in the Hybrid Asia Exploration (HAx) 2024. This prestigious international program offers a unique opportunity for students to collaborate with peers from across Asia, fostering cross-cultural exchange and academic growth.

Mary Rose R. Guntang, Jayven Mae T. Hadloc, Rocelle Ann F. Hornada, and Chris Angel R. Rongilla, all BS Information Technology students, have been diligently engaged in the Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) component of HAx since June 14, 2024. This preparatory phase has equipped them with essential skills and knowledge to excel in the upcoming onsite program.

On September 13, 2024, these talented students will embark on an exciting journey to Surabaya, Indonesia, where they will immerse themselves in the HAX program. This onsite component will provide them with invaluable opportunities to engage in hands-on projects, attend workshops, and network with industry experts.

The University of Luzon extends its sincere gratitude to Universiti Malaysia Perlis, Universiti Malaysia Terangganu, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, and Shibaura Institute of Technology for their generous support and contributions to the HAx program. Their sponsorship and academic expertise have been instrumental in creating a rich and enriching learning experience for all participants.

The University would also like to express its appreciation to Dr. Diosdado C. Caronongan, Dean of the College of Computer Studies, and Prof. Angel S. Reyna Jr., Director for International Relations, for their unwavering support and guidance in making this opportunity possible for our students.

Additionally, by addressing global challenges through collaboration and innovation, the students are indirectly contributing to SDG 13: Climate Action. Lastly, the program’s focus on knowledge sharing and capacity building contributes to SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy, as technological advancements often lead to innovations in this field.
