University of Luzon Soars High with Back-to-Back Plaques of Recognition

University of Luzon (UL) continues to make waves in the realm of higher education as it proudly receives two prestigious plaques of recognition from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Region 1. These accolades underscore the university’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and social responsibility.

A Global Mark: WURI Rankings Recognition

In a momentous achievement, UL was honored for its significant contributions to addressing global, socio-economic, and environmental challenges. The university’s inclusion in the 2024 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) is a testament to its dedication to fostering a culture of innovation and creating a positive impact on society.

UL’s exceptional performance in the WURI rankings is a source of immense pride for the entire university community. Placing 12th globally for Culture and Values, 21st for Entrepreneur Spirit, and 67th for Student Support and Engagement highlights the institution’s commitment to holistic student development and its ability to cultivate a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem.

This remarkable feat is a result of the tireless efforts of the university’s faculty, staff, and students, who have worked collaboratively to create a dynamic and inspiring learning environment. Special recognition goes to Director for International Relations Angel Samson Reyna Jr., Dr. Carmelo John Vidal, Dr. Dolores Bustillo, Prof. Darwin Juguilon, Prof. Sherryl Delos Santos, Prof. Jhared Calimlim, and Ms. Charie Kay Cayabyab for their invaluable contributions to this achievement.

Excellence in Licensure Examinations

Adding to its list of accomplishments, UL was also recognized for its exemplary performance in the PRC Licensure Examinations among higher education institutions. The university’s production of a topnotcher in the field of engineering in 2023 is a testament to the quality of education and training provided by the College of Engineering & Architecture-AIT.
