Non-Thesis Programs
The Master in Education (non-thesis) program at the University of Luzon Graduate School is designed for educators seeking to enhance their teaching skills and knowledge. The program takes a practical approach, focusing on applied research, curriculum development, and best practices in education. Students can specialize in one of four majors: (a) Science Education, (b) Literacy Education, (c) Mathematics Education, or (d) Educational Leadership, each aimed at improving instructional effectiveness and fostering leadership in education.
The (a) Science Education major provides advanced knowledge in science pedagogy, curriculum design, and assessment, with an emphasis on integrating technology in science instruction. The (b) Literacy Education major focuses on enhancing reading, writing, and literacy instruction, particularly in early literacy development and intervention strategies. The (c) Mathematics Education major prepares educators with advanced methods for teaching mathematics, curriculum development, and assessment strategies to improve students’ mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills. The (d) Educational Leadership major equips students with the skills to take on leadership roles in educational institutions, focusing on school management, policy development, and effective leadership practices to improve school systems.
