Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering

The Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), offered by the UL College of Engineering and Architecture – AIT, is a comprehensive four-year degree program designed to provide students with a solid foundation in the principles of mechanical engineering. The program covers a broad range of topics, including mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, materials science, structural analysis, design, manufacturing, robotics, and energy systems, preparing students for successful careers in various industries such as automotive, aerospace, energy, manufacturing, and robotics.

Throughout the program, students gain a deep understanding of the scientific principles that govern mechanical systems and processes. They learn how to analyze, design, and optimize mechanical components and systems, ensuring functionality, efficiency, and safety. The curriculum emphasizes the application of mathematics, physics, and engineering principles to solve real-world problems, combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience in laboratories and design projects.

The BSME program emphasizes the development of essential soft skills such as communication, teamwork, leadership, and ethical responsibility. Students participate in internships and cooperative education experiences to gain real-world experience and collaborate with industry professionals.

Upon graduation, BSME students from the College of Engineering and Architecture – AIT are well-prepared to pursue careers as mechanical engineers in industries such as automotive, aerospace, robotics, energy, and manufacturing. They may work as design engineers, systems engineers, project managers, or research and development engineers. The program also prepares students for licensure exams, such as the Philippine Mechanical Engineers Licensure Examination (MELE), allowing them to practice as licensed mechanical engineers.

The BSME program at the University of Luzon is designed to foster innovation and creativity, empowering students to tackle the engineering challenges of the future and contribute to the advancement of technology in the mechanical engineering field.
