CHEM CONGRESS

University of Luzon students continue to build their knowledge and connections through participation in activities that support their technical education and preparation for future careers. Members of the Philippine Institute of Chemical Engineers – Junior University of Luzon Chapter took part in the PICHE National Student Congress 2026, joining fellow Chemical Engineering students in an exchange of ideas and experiences.

The congress was held on September 15, 2026, at Saint Louis University. It provided an opportunity for students to connect with peers from other institutions and learn more about the field of chemical engineering.

Through the gathering, UL students gained new insights and perspectives that can support their academic learning and future work in the industry. Interacting with fellow students also allowed them to build connections within the wider community of aspiring chemical engineers and learn from shared experiences.

Participation in professional gatherings helps students connect classroom learning with developments in their chosen field. These experiences also encourage curiosity, collaboration, and awareness of the changing needs of the industry, helping prepare future engineers to contribute their knowledge and skills to their communities.

The congress supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by encouraging continued learning and awareness of industrial developments. SDG 4: Quality Education is advanced through knowledge sharing and learning opportunities that strengthen students’ technical education, while SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure is supported by exposing future chemical engineers to new ideas and developments that encourage innovation and contribute to industrial growth.
