AYUDA PARA SA KAPAMILYA

Acts of kindness and community engagement bring people together, especially during times of need. Following the recent typhoon and widespread flooding, the University of Luzon extended assistance to members of its institutional community and partner families through a relief distribution held on August 26, 2026.

A total of 100 relief packs were distributed through the collaborative efforts of the Center for Integrated Extension Services, Graduate School, and ULIVE. Fifty packs were given to the University’s Ancillary Services, Maintenance, and Security staff in recognition of their service to the institution. Another 50 packs were provided to families of the Saint John Child Care Center, one of UL’s community partners.

The distribution was carried out through the AYUDA para sa KAPAMILYA project under the University of Luzon Adaptive Community Assistance Program (UNLACAP), the University’s flagship initiative for community support. Through this effort, UL extended immediate assistance to families and personnel affected by the recent disaster.

The University also recognizes the generosity of its donors, partners, and volunteers whose contributions helped make the distribution possible. Their shared efforts reflect the value of compassion, cooperation, and community participation in responding to the needs of others.

The University of Luzon continues to support social inclusion and stronger community ties through service-oriented initiatives. These efforts contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities by extending assistance to families affected by the disaster; SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions by encouraging public participation and collective action; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through cooperation among the University, donors, partners, and volunteers.

Through UNLACAP, the University continues to uphold its role in serving and supporting its community, especially during challenging times.
