University of Luzon Advances AI Learning Through OpenClaw with AWS Workshop

New technologies in artificial intelligence and cloud computing provided a practical learning opportunity for faculty members and students who joined the OpenClaw with AWS Workshop on July 25, 2026.
The activity was attended by Prof. Rina V. Cabansag, Prof. Andrew C. Caronongan, Jairus Aquino, Loisa Caronongan, and Ranuj Soriano, representing the University of Luzon College of Computer Studies (ULCCS). Their participation allowed them to gain practical knowledge and explore current tools used in AI development.
Held at Arellano St., Pantal, Dagupan City, Pangasinan, the workshop introduced participants to building and deploying AI agents through OpenClaw on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The session was facilitated by Sir Joben Rara, Solutions Architect Manager at AWS Philippines, who demonstrated a low-code/no-code approach to developing AI-powered workflows.
The experience adds to the University of Luzon’s efforts to provide relevant education and practical training that respond to developments in technology. The hands-on activities showed how emerging technologies can be used without requiring extensive programming experience. Through activities like this, faculty members and students can strengthen their technical capabilities and gain skills that support their academic and future professional paths.
Technology-focused learning also supports the University’s broader work toward sustainable development. The activity contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4: Quality Education by providing practical learning opportunities that strengthen technical skills and student learning; and SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure by exposing participants to new technologies and innovative approaches in AI and cloud computing.
