Support from the University of Luzon community reached a fellow Luzonian affected by a recent fire through a donation drive organized to provide immediate assistance during a difficult time. The donated goods were formally turned over on July 6, 2026. The activity gave the recipient much-needed assistance while rebuilding after the incident.

The University of Luzon Integrated Volunteer Extentionists (ULIVE) and the College of Business Administration Student Council worked together to gather essential donated goods. Their efforts brought together students, organizations, donors, and other members of the University community who responded to the call for support.

Beyond the goods provided, the drive showed how community engagement can bring people together to respond to the needs of others. It also gave students an opportunity to practice social responsibility through direct action and volunteer work.

The support reflects the role of University of Luzon in creating a caring school environment where members of the community can extend help to those facing hardship. Through collective participation, even simple acts of giving can provide comfort and strengthen the social safety net available to vulnerable individuals.

Community support also contributes to broader sustainable development efforts. These actions align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals particularly, SDG 1: No Poverty is supported by extending assistance to vulnerable individuals facing financial hardship and providing a safety net during difficult circumstances; SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities is advanced by encouraging disaster resilience and collective action during community emergencies; and SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions is strengthened through community participation, responsible action, and support for the rights and welfare of others.

University of Luzon extends its appreciation to everyone who donated, volunteered, and helped make the drive possible. Their generosity demonstrates the value of standing together and reminds every Luzonian that support can make a meaningful difference when it is needed most.
